at least back then:music was still music,there was no "Reality tv" people still had manners and common courtesyinventions and new discoverys were still exciting and new,people got along with their neighborspeople worked hard and were proud of doing itit seems like it was a more carefree timenow we got to worry about so much morewe work on sundays,we lock our doors and fear our neighborsnobody likes their job, everyones lazy and people take all our modern conveniences for granted.

So glad to see Dorothy Dandridge, who was Harold's wife there briefly, enjoying the dance. Somehow I appreciate the earlier Dandridge to the full blown Dorothy of Hollywood. Where did she learn to tap, by the way? Anyone out there know?

Even if he doesn't know this movie specifically chances are he's familiar with Glenn Miller (the bandleader). Miller and his orchestra were one of the best selling acts in America around this time, and this was one of their signature songs.
