I haven't heard that song since it came out.

Has anyone heard the Mandy Moore version? She does a Todd Rundgren song, too. She's not only cute, she's almost cool.

Hi awnplmigo, yeah it is.....I agree. "Nigel" bizarrely has sentimental value to me though, don't ask! :D XTC are criminally underrated, wish more people would wake up and listen to them....they don't know what they are missing.

Agreed awnplmigo--- I have to agree totally that there is no similarity whatsoever(granted I'm not a fan of Talking Heads to begin with)between the two. XTC was also heavily influenced, as many were, by the New York Dolls.

I agree. And I don't think XTC and the Heads are really similar. The claims that they're influenced by the Heads are very demeaning. Andy's chief inspirations are The Beatles, Judee Sill and Captain Beefheart.

It's infinitely superior to "Nigel", which is not bad.

What very well might be a perfect song. Love.

Couldn't be. Talking Heads had a big album that exact same year. "Once in a Lifetime" was the big hit.
