its basically learnign how people play - against a normal player daniel is insta calling. against a pro - it is a different thought process and thats why he folded. todd used counter psychology kinda thing knowing it could work

This must of been before daniel lost like 700k. Only someone who is winning can make that lay down (regardless of whether todd has a full house or not). Later on in the series daniel paid off lindgren with a small straight with the board paired.

I've seen flushes get killed by full house so many times, I'm not even surprised if he folded this flush. For me, I would've called because I go crazy if it's Ace high flush, which is why I'm not professional poker player. Daniel knows how to fold strong hands, which saved him so much times from getting bad beats.

Only professional poker players know how to fold tempting hands, such as straights/flush. Daniel may have been wrong and made bad decision here but most of the time, he makes good decisions and knows how to read people. I'm not professional and I play in small tables($20 no limit) and I would call because I can care less if I lose 20 or 80 bucks if i had large stack from winning, but this is high stakes poker, which is total different situation than most people.

hhhhhhfold ?

i would rather lose 21K than muck a nut flush it's only money, you can always get more, but dumb beats last forever

Todd Brunson overcalling $10,000 on the turn sent off a huge alarm bell to Daniel. Remember Todd raise pre, checked flop overcalled 10K then "value bet" the river despite the 4 spades. Looked like JJ in all honesty lol funny hand though.

this is only a 4 minute clip as well, these ppl play for hours sometimes days, who knows how this guy was playing (the semi-bluffer)
zibbyblahblah (August 19, 2008 at 3:48 pm)
this isn't some bullshit low stakes game at the casino where every idiot calls with everything. if daniel wants to fold an ace high flush then thats his decision.

proper to check call a bet. If daniel bets, todd might raise him (if he really had a full house). Bad fold here.
