I just can't get over how intricate and glorious his percussion playing is in this song. The intricate pattern used by all fingers of the right hand is something I've never seen used so efficiently, constructively, strategically, and musically in a song. It's just so smooth and effortless. Reminds me of the level of dexterity needed for the middle section of Aerial Boundaries. I heard Pino will have a new dvd out early next year!

It is true. Pino is apparently the only guitarist who proved himself to be able of continuing Hedges' legacy... Their styles are obviously hugely different, but the spirit which brought the two them to conceive their art is the same.Great work of a great master

This is similar to Aerial Boundaries but it is hugely original at the same time - here's why: the separation of the functions of the hands - each hand is doing something totally different. Also, the tone and touch required to pull this off is at the same level of Aerial Boundaries - it's not enough just to play note for note - there has to be a high level of musicianship and dexterity to bring the piece to life - something Pino and Michael had - simply something to strive for.

i dont see Pino's work as "Music" , this Genius creates Art.

As a guitarist, I can appreciate his willingness to try new things. The beginning of the song just doesn't seem to fit, but after that, it really sounds wonderful. So, I'm still up in the air. I would never tell someone what to do with their music, and as a musician, he will write what speaks to him, not us. So, keep going with it bro. If you dig it, then that's what matters. Still up in the air on my part though.

You're wrong I have appreciation for originality and experimentation. And you guess really bad:)...i listen to Porcupine Tree, Antoine Dufour..Andy Mckee, Justin Taylor, Don Ross, Tommy Emanuel(he does a lot of experimentation for example:))and more...so slow down next time:)bye

Obviously you have no appreciation for originality and experimentation. I'm guessing you rely on MTV and billboard as a source for your musical preferences.

Shut up bulldog. The first part of the song was excellent. He's being experimental, you just need to open your mind and learn how to appreciate originality. And we don't need you to tell us about Andy Mckee, everyone who visits this channel already knows who he is.

this is a masterpiece worthy of only one as skilled as skilled as Pino, his hands were a gift from the gods

How experimental! This shows how much you actually can do with only one instrument. I will remember his name. |
