Frank Lucas(Denzel)helped Ritche(Crowe) put a bunch of mobsters in jail in return for a shorter prison sentence. Frank comes out in the 90's, thanks to Ritche's help

Do yourselves a favour and BUY this movie. A truly magnificent story, directed by Ridley Scott. Crowe is amazing, so is Washington.
