I met Bob Malach when he was touring with Mike Stern in Australia in the late 90's, he told me his was using a metal link 5 with number 4 reeds, he got an unbelievable sound, ultisimo was huge, Mike Stern commented to me saying his creative ideas were amazing, Mike Stern was blown away and so was I. Hey Leo, a long time fan of Ben and Bobby Malach I checked em out both live in London a few years ago.... they are amazing. There's lots of stuff of Ben Sidran but not so much of Bobby.... is there more? Thanks for posting! btw, what's the sax setup Bobby uses? does anyone know?

tThis was shot in Tokyo Japan in 1993 when the Go Jazz All Stars were touring Japan. Some times we get lucky enough to get out of our own way and let the music happen. This particular tune "Mood Swing" was at the end of a long grueling video shoot which there is a lot more great stuff to be posted. We were tired enough and jet lagged enough to be in the moment. Its rare that in retrospect I like what we did but with camera and smoke all over us, Its gonna live.Malach is a bad MF then n now
