1997, HK. On the KCR from Lu Wo to Mongkok. Dusk. The train is empty, lights of villages outside: rain spitting on the window...Knowing and not knowing....Wishing the train would never stop...The Floe's French Horns... La La La La La La...One day I'll find home...But even there I will be a stranger...La La La La La....

I filled out your survey. I wasn't really thrilled about the first piece, and I hadn't heard it before, and maybe it just didn't grab me. "Floe" was the first piece from Glass I had ever heard, in a composition class, and my life made a sharp left turn. I'm a chemist now. Unfortunately.

And maybe The Photographer, or Songs From Liquid Days, too.

Anyone can fill in a questionnaire on the reception of musical signs. Making music often requires training but understanding it and reacting to its connotations is a rather universal competency among humans. The reception will vary depending on your culture though. So everyone can give his impressions about the 3 pieces I'm studying, and it will be very helpful for my master's project.here's the link again for the questionnaire:fd2.formdesk(dot)com/tagg/ChausseauMinimal Have a nice day!
