People should get respect for inventing styles dude. You just don't invent a dance style overnight - it takes years of hard work and dedication to take a small idea and turn it into a completely new dance style. Boogaloo Sam could have quit at any point and then popping and boogaloo would have never existed, effectively destroying everything you know today as hiphop. Boogaloo Sam is a fucking legend and deserves respect from every bloody street dancer in the world.

If you watch enough old clips from the 20s and 30s you can trace a lot of stuff back, and I reckon the only reason you can't trace stuff back furthur is because it wasn't being filmed. As music changes old moves get adapted to new sounds. When is the last time a new style got invented to old music? Anyway, people should get respect for dancing well, not inventing styles. I invented the English language but you don't hear me going on about it.
