yea i no dat, but still bro, dah same thing!! am not in dah whole realistic thing, i like it more cartonny and dats how i draw, not cartonny dat looks like shit, like cartoony kool if yah no wat i mean.

partly consistency, many comic books allow for diffrent type of art styles, and quite often what seem like similar style is still subtly different from artist to artists. Comic book art is semi realistic and there is only so much you can do when working with pencil and ink. But at the end day the characters have to be recognisable, and the art style has to appeal to a mass market, and be simplistic enough for the artist to make 20 pages worth, while realistic enough too not seem cartoony.
