Don't be ridiculous....they don't even treat gun ownership like that and think about how many deaths are caused by people and guns????
Kisinkona (June 23, 2008 at 8:10 pm)
Everyone with kids should also have to have one of those policies...cause kids do ALOT of Vadalism and damage to property....I think we should put a ban on teenagers...

Man is the most deadly animal.... and cars, cigarettes, alcohol and guns kill millions each year, but I don't see a ban on them or lawsuits against their makers because they cause DEATH injury!

I suggest you google the Pomeranian that killed someone. Have you ever see a pomeranian? Yappy little handbag dogs. And husky types and GSDs are involved in a lot of fatalities too, why arent you shouting about them being banned?

Can you name these "experts" and refer us to studies? How exactly do they assess the "intent" of a pit bull...ask it a questionnaire? Read it's mind?
Lipstickleopard (June 15, 2008 at 10:36 pm)
Potentially dangerous things...hmm. So lets see. Cars, planes, electricity, all of these things should be banned? I think you just made that history up. As for your statement that "harmless infants" are attacked, did you know that one of the Pitbull type breeds, the staffordshire bull terrier, is actually referred to in the UK as "nanny dog" because of it's wonderful temperament with children? It is on of the few breeds the Kennel club will recommend for kids.

You should have trained him then. Train him properly and he wont bite. Ferrets that get loose tend to just die, they are a domesticated species like dogs and find it hard to survive in the wild. The excuses they make up for banning them are not good reasons. Cats are one of the biggest threats to the songbird population...dont see anyone trying to ban them.

Agreed. I don't believe there should be a ban. I just believe very strong laws should be in place for owners of all pets & if someones gets loose & kills or maims, the victim or victims family should be entitled to millions if a human is killed and a very large amount in they are maimed for life. Judges should have that money compensated from there paychecks & or property.
