This song is so good. I haven't heard it since i was a kid in the 80's. Glad to hear it again. One of the cool tricks to make a song soung so emotional like this one is to have just the right combination of chordal changes. All songs today lack that element which is one of the reasons they sound lifeless and dull.

I love EJ's songs & ballads. The messages coded in his songs are mostly about love, life and beyond. However, the problem is, he butchers and murders his love songs at his concerts. When he does that, it loses the very essence and message of the songs. I wish EJ realize that. He is one of the best singers who came shining out of the yellow brick road.
