Tyson may have beat an old Ali but not the Ali who was champ before he was forced into exile. I think Tyson's tendency to get knocked out would have doomed him. The young Ali was just too fast, hard to hit, hard to hurt if you hit him and had knock out power. Also Ali was a lot bigger.
