Sorry floyd but torker is right, you are a moron. Quit bringing up shit that has nothing to do with anything such as mental disorders. I don't disagree with what your saying, but you sound very whiny. I listen to alot of classic rock (because of my dad) and alot of newer stuff (because of friends I have and clubs i go to) as well as many other genres (techno for example because I roll alot). Basically though quit sounding whiny, nobody wants to listen to you when you converse like that.

I can tell you don't know squat about it. I may have been born in 1976 but musically there won't be another decade like the 1970s as far as rock goes. If I'm a "moron" like you say then I would have said either "I like this because of Guitar Hero" or "Dazed and Confused". I grew up on this music. Don't like me fuck off!

Rap, like disco, is producer orientated crap and everyone doing a rap means it's dead. There are many new rock bands (I'm a fan of Airbourne, Wolfmother as examples) but they (like many other up and comers) have no chance of making it big due to the recording industry wanting either rappers with criminal sheets the size of Texas or American Idol howlers or dress like Playboy cover girls and can't sing. Foghat weren't the hippest looking dudes but blew anyone they toured with off the stage.
