I was trying to look up Alka Selzer online but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to spell it. I see the commercials but never think to memorize their name. Now I look at it I realize that it's an oddly spelled name for a product. Also the word selzer is a bit out dated unless you're a bar tender. Also it sounds like one word alkaselzer which I tried googling alcazelzer and still got nothing. Sorry to rant, I know it has nothing to do with this commercial. ha ha Odd name though.

The less food products that are bought, the smaller the demand.Plus if the government is spending so much on the obesity epidemic they have less money for other important foreign issues such as poverty.I'm not saying that the food should be sent to poorer countries I was just using it as an example.thanks for your reply though:)

The food is purchased one way or another. Would you rather waste it and nobody get it then?

I just got word that Nathan's of New York donated 100,000 hot dogs to local food banks. We can all agree that this is very generous of them.

"i consider over-eating greedy when there is so much poverty in the world"Please remember that food eating contests use part of their profits to donate money for world food banks. As for the commercial, I like it very much because it reminds me of my rookie year in organized amateur baseball in the 1960s - the older guys teased me quite a bit. But as time passed they became my best friends. I had a great time playing sports. And that fictional rookie probably did as well.

I'm not denying people's choice to be as big or as little as they want, but i consider over-eating greedy when there is so much poverty in the world.
