I definatly agree with you on this one, it was our silly four fathers to blame here they voted for pakistan. there wasn't that much conflict between religions in our part of the then india, i mean even today hindus and muslims live side by side on either sides of the borders.

c'mon sylhet was part of assam before 1947 thats why sylheti's can relate to this. did you know sylheti languge is more kachari than bengali? look at the fact that you say you don't speak shuddho you speak kacha basha right? there you go.

This song is more hindi mix - but other assamese songs are very similar to Bangla an I understand them as bengali ...It quite refreshing to see that Assamese (other songs) is identical to Bangla - wow. Great songs...

This is basically a Jhumur song. This is a song sung by the people of Tea-Garden Labour (Adivashi) Community of Assam (Never say Kuli Bangali to them....u should not humiliate them by saying so...plzz).Now-a-days, these songs are becoming very very popular...sometimes, this popularity even crosses the limit by Bihu songs...

This song is in Bengali - Assamese mixed dialect as spoken by the people who are originally from Orissa/ jharkhand..but has over the years adopted Assam as their motherland. Asssamese language is different from Bengali.. So please dont mix them up. And being geographically nearer its quite natural to have some common words. |
