You wanna really see if the people in the country have any power still?(even though we never did) We should vote in some random joe, real true american. Or host our own candidates over youtube. Not Ron Paul or Bloomberg, then the people would be voting... Ehh not really, we cant think for ourselfs... Face it.

There is no greater media bromide in politics than "people are tired of the bickering or too much "bitter partisanship". If you don't understand the problem, you will never solve it. The problem is that our media, with collectivist objectives, picks our candidates, so they agree far too much. So even though 80% of american don't wanted to be invaded, don't want the IRS having so much power, don't want all this political correctness, the media moves the debate leftward.

Wow, what a downer.
foster204 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Absolutely! If you're on-board, great! The more people you tell and get to join, the quicker we'll get to change things.
foster204 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Exactly. Why would you want them deciding the process by which our leadership is picked. It's our interest that's supposed to be being served. They've taken charge of the process because we stopped paying attention. But now we've got the chance to bring it back to our say. Easy as that. If the country wants it, they'll make Unity08 a success and we'll all leave the tainted parts of politics behind.

"Bloomberg's face appeared in one of the screens during sign up"?? You're paranoid.Bloomberg may be a possibility, just as Ron Paul may be. They both have the chance, as do an unlimited number of any other candidates who can garner popular support to win over the Unity08 membership. It's not the leadership who are deciding candidates, or even platform. It's all of us, including you.
