Gosh! I fell in love with Deanna Durbin in a seniors course I took a couple of months ago titled "Hollywood Sopranos" and I haven't gotten over her yet, and don't expect toany time soon. How about let's call her the Canadian Songbird? Brava, diva Deanna.

Can't you just see her as Rosalinda in "Die Fledermaus"?- singing, dancing, acting, or Marie in Donizetti's "Daughter of the Regiment"? Deanna Durbin would have taken the opera world by storm. Don't you agree? God bless you Edna Mae David, and may you live many more years. I and many of your fans just wish you would have given more of your years to performing - concerts, recitals, opera and only first-rate productions - stage and/or screen. We love Deanna Durbin, don't we?operabuff1935

Gosh, I wish I was Deanna, dancing in Tom Drakes arms! How perfect having two of my favorite actors dancing on the screen

Bendix was in the movie, just not dancing with Durbin here.

No blod, no murder, no fighting, just plain entertainment of the first class. What a shame our kids of today only see the bad side of life. |
