i completly agreewith headtater. all these guys did that could possibly stop this car is hydro lock it, but thats easy to fix, crash it into a tree, but that still runs, and drop it. if you really wanna see a tough car look up crash testing a jeep cherokee. now which one withstood more? the jeep. they jumped the thing tons of times like 10 feet in the air, and it still goes!

just because they are the largest, does not mean the best. In the devoping world, outside N. America and W. Europe, people care almost nothing about quality, reliablity, preformance etc. All they care about is it an extremely low price. That is one of the key factors in Toyota's succes. I will admit, they are not crap, but they are not as perfect as they are said to be.

Most of those "tests" were spectacular, but they were hardly a real test of reliability and quality. Besides, even if a 13 year old Toyota can withstand some punishment, doesn't mean a new one can. Consumer Reports ranked Toyota far below GM and Ford in overall quality and reliability (and I'm not Japan-bashing, Honda was the most reliable). Scraping a wall proves nothing.
