There is a solar power installation company in Calf. right now that will place power systems on your roof for the same monthly cost of your average monthly electric bill. And the payments will never increases until it is paid off. This means, that your solar system will cost you no more than your current electric bill is now. And when it is paid off the rest of the electricity if FREE! Even for you EV.

You are right; I keep forgetting that even after 30 million years of evolution there are still some who must mark their territory by peeing on a wall, or howling at the moon to make their presents known, like some kind of barbaric Neolithic brainless animal.

I paid 2500 for my '93 Toyota. With what I saved on the vehicle price I can buy a hell of a lot of gasoline.

Nuclear Fusion is a technology widely accepted to be further away than current 'renewable technologies'. The point of having an electric vehicle is it gives one the option to charge it from a renewable source. Granted, for a few years to come the energy will be derived from our current electricity grid, which is dependent on fossil fuels. But improving the green credentials of the grid is easier than creating an entire hydrogen economy, or solving nuclear fusion. This is a good intermediate step

And some car manufacturers think a car being quiet is a selling point! Go figure XD

Yeah but the problem is that they will. Solar is inefficient, expensive(to develop) and take up tons and tons of room, nuclear has radiation and expensive, coal pollutes and is...well cheap? As i said it is avoiding the problem, not solving it. But should they actually invent a green way to produce electricity and actually replace petrol and other carbons (i.e. Nuclear Fusion) ill be all for it, but until then well ill remain skeptical. |
