This came out in 1990, when Paula Abdul and Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice ruled the charts. It was the only rock song in the Top 10 at the time and I liked this song just for that reason.

This is one song that actually holds up through the test of time. So much of the music from the 80's and early 90's sounds so cheesy in retrospect, but this is a beautifully crafted melody. The Nelson boys were/are criminally underrated.

It's 2008 now. It was released 18 years ago. Either you're shaving a couple years off your age or the album's. I remember it coming out around when school started so it was autumn. Yes 18 years. So yeah your math's fuzzy.

I agree terrible video, great song. When I first saw this middle school back in the 90's I thought they were bunch of wimps. But relistening to this an older adult you come to understand the song better, what man in this world could not live without the love and affection of his women. That would drive a guy nuts.
