andagii - true, Hawaiian isn't. I was trying to comment more on CrudeDude's observation that people don't pronounce English words 'correctly'. Didn't want to get pulled into the other aspects of this conversation - guess I failed...Thanks to joseppi2007 for the phonics, btw. Evening all!

this is hardly the place for a discussion on the English language, but I find it funny that CrudeDude expects everyone to pronounce words the same way. Language constantly changes in usage and pronounciation - witness the Americans changing the word 'borough' to burg - eg Pittsburg.By the way, I'm waiting for the people who made the earlier'racism' comments to rush to the defence of the lady introducing it. She can't help her Scottish accent. She was born that way, and we shouldn't judge...wow
