It's the liberals who made health insurance suck. They make doctors cost 10x more cause of all the damn lawyers and freeloaders cashing in. Now I can't afford any doctor... not even an incompetent one.

Universal health care does not manage decision making. It manages only the spending so that government PAYS for it, instead of having people go bankrupt for getting sick, which is a rather barbaric system. There would be no lines under a universal health care system in the United States because we have about a 30% oversupply of medical equipment and surgeons, whereas demand would increase about 15%.

Yes it sucks big time. The rest of the world has much better health insurance. However americans are brainwashed into thinking that it does not work with social medicine. They are wrong . It works very well.

I find that situation sick. I can't understand it. Here in Canada birth to death, coverage from a paper cut to heart surgery. Why can't the U.S. gov't say that "everyone" has basic coverage like it is guaranteed in our constitution? I just don't get it and glad my senior parents never have to fear that either. Nor me for my children. What is wrong with America providing basics free?

One payer system is the only way to go. Private health insurance is a private tyranny that only exists in United States. It's a rather barbaric system that tells you you're health is only worth what you can afford.People in United States should get behind, and support, HR 676. If you don't know what it is learn about it! GM & Ford are going bankrupt because of the rising cost of health care. If United States had single-payer system, the companies wouldn't have to worry about it.
