I don't get all the controversy. The song/movie is obviously about the miserliness of nationalism and the vain struggle of man against ingroup/outgroup relationships. I personally would have been quite happy to have such a well-made caricature about my own country (ignoring the fact that the "Kazakhstan" in the movie is supposed to represent the whole of the middle east sans Israel.)

Well, I don't know why all the fucking patriotism. We can all agree that both Kazakhstan and Romania(the movie was shot in Romania. Not in Kazakhstan) are both more of a tribal organization than a countries. Take the movie for what it's supposed to be. A comedy.

Borat is hilarious! It's proably one of the funniest movies ever!Don't take this so serious. I know that this isn't true, but it's still funny!There's alot of movies where they make fun of other countries and ethnic groups (especially jews) I think they chose to make fun of Kazakhstan just because many people don't know anything about the country.(I'm from Sweden)
