Ok, I will start writing the new constitution tonight, and in the morning I will submit it to the Board of Ministers... :) We were discussing linguistics, now you are telling me about the history of Turks... As I said, this is not a place for that kind of discussion. I recommend you to strip off the hatred you have inside for everything related to Turks, and be more objective!! And less aggressive...

change the constitution!! It is not a holy book !!!!But then again you prove me right!! How can you change the constitution when turks don't change their mentality?!! It is high time turks to come to terms with its bloody history and to start accepts others who differ with them. Believe me, today there is no turk left to be blamed for the massacre of 1.5 millions armenians!! Come to terms with history and be a loving nation in the area instead of being hated so much!!

Obviously you did not understand why I provided that example phrase. In Turkish, choice of words largely depends on political, cultural and sometimes religious inclinations of individuals. I see that you wish to expand the scope of the discussion, which I believe YouTube is not a place for. ;) But just to give you a hint: This is the 66th article of the Turkish Constitution. "Everyone bound to the Turkish State through the bond of citizenship is a Turk" (hri[dot]org/docs/turkey/con2d[dot]html)

Then linguistically you agree with me. That turks use at least 80% of none altaic words! The example you gave is 100%!! One thing keeps me wondering!! How come turks with such international language don't have an international brains!! Turkish mentality has been the same for the last 100 years!! Even today you hear "Turkye turklarinder" !! Where this leaves over 20 millions kurds in occupied Kurdistan!! Kurds even struggled for a homeland under the Ottomans!!!

@3azzuz08, :) Just read more on the factors that affect the dynamics of interaction between languages, which you severely underestimate. One last thing: Turkish has "native" counterparts for most of the Arabic words in common use. For instance; "ask" is Arabic, "sevi" is Turkish, "hikaye" is Arabic, "oyku" is Turkish, "Allah" is Arabic, "Tengri" (Tanri) is Turkish... Just contemplate upon the power of this phrase: "Sampiyon Fenerbahce". French (sampiyon) + Fener (Greek) + Persian (Bahce)

Influence of latin on English!!!!! English is founded on latin and germanic. Latin, germanic, slavic, sanskrit and iranian are all sub-families to the indoeuropean family og languages.Again, all languages do borrow from one another! But to have a language like turkish that has over 80% borrowed words means only there is something linguistically very rare!! Weakness in the sense of language I mean, not anything else! I'm trying to state a fact! no need to feel inferior!!!
