I agree, air resistance was always omitted for most of my physics problems, as well as simplifying a person or object's mass into the shape of a sphere.

im almost certain it was for the physics problem....since adding in air resistance adds a lot more to the problem....it was just an example more than likely and is just to keep it overly simple...much like the clown with 2 balls dropping them |
