I'd say you're questioning the importance of art in society. Sure, they aren't doctors or anything, but have you ever heard of art therapy? It has saved me, plenty of times. It may not be important to you, but it is to a lot of people. I completely understand what you're saying from a literal standpoint, but if you ever hear music that makes you so happy you feel like you have never been sad in your life, maybe you will understand why the world would perish without it.
