Wow. I would love to meet him. Too Bad Tinsel Town never treated him with the proper respect.I wish I saw his production of Othello. Rumor came to me, that he played Lear as well, what a sight that must have been.If you should ever speak to him, give him this regards: "Regards from Peter Janssen, a dutch manchild, Who loved his Work since he was a teen. He still is one of the best MacBeths ever. To him, I thirst!"

Nicol Williamson is a brilliant MacBeth, perhaps not as ceremonial as Ian McKellen's portrayal of the Tyrant, but still his acting is very virile and brilliantly theatrical.

Nicol, comes in my local pub from time to time, quite a nice guy, but quiet too, cant say i blame him though.

I think the Lady Macbeth in this is excellent, but I was more convinced by Jon Finch's performance in Polanskis version.

We watched this version for our high school English class. I think at the start of, or just before, this scene is when he says "Thanks for that." I always thought that line was funny. |
