Madonna was way better. peggy lee is a little too slow for me. but i don't doubt her greatness for the first to sing it. and it matched her time then. i like Madonna's cover more up beat and modern.

Beyonce is truly a lovely looking thing, and talented in her own right. But her cover of this song leaves much to be desired. Peggy Lee was, is and will always be the champion of Fever.

With all respect to Beyonce, the people around her decided that to perform this song they had to start off with visual suggestions that she's standing there naked on stage, auditioning for a spot in the opening titles of a James Bond movie; with hiring a corps de ballet; and with giving her a hat to add "personality" as she sang. Why not look for some of the other versions of this music: none of that over-production is needed to make it great. I'm sure she could do it much better.
