no. carrick is no where as good as hargreaves. not even close. hargreaves has a great work ethic + a killer freekick. carrick is too cautious.

Hagreaves better tahn carrick? last season whn he not injured, he cant compete wth carrick. he play postion lke winger and rightback. wht a waste mney. always injured.

Carrick is too simple. Hagreaves is a better player.

Carrick gets too much praise. Since he's arrived at United he has been far too cautious. His passing lacks the creativity and consistency it did at Spurs. He used to take risks, but now, in the main, it's very simple passes. I feel Scholes, Hargreaves and a developing Anderson all offer the side more than Carrick gives us. He's okay defensively, but if Hargreaves was fit for long enough to show what he can do, there's no question he'd be the first choice to partner Scholes.

ok thats fair.my bad tho. i started the stupid arguement.
WKaliber1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
why are we arguing? both are great players, im just saying Carrick has something Owen doesn't and vice versa
footballskill19 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
hargreaves can play right wing, right back, attacking mid, or defensive mid. he's a far more flexible player, not to mention a free-kick specialist. remember his strike against arsenal last year?

Hargreaves won't calm down the play like Carrick can and doesnt have as good of a passing range and vision |
