this is a great song about his feelings about drugs. way better then todays "encouraging drug" songs such as 50 cent and all these other artists who think its cool but back then it was the real deal u coukldnt even sing about it so he used mataphors for his words. hes truly brilliant>!

When our childrens' childrens' children are told about the classical artists of the past, history will continue to bequeath a musical timelessness to those like Bach, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven etc. But be in no doubt that the shadow cast by time will fall equally, & maybe uniquely, upon this man who is already assured to be in the pantheon of these simple gifted ones who have made a disproportinate contribution to our enjoyment of our world. Grateful to be alive at the same time as this man.
