Ral's version is much more intense, deep, rich in texture, and, apparently, heartfelt. This is is the version that makes this song one of the best ever.

Ral was so underated, he was an excellent singer, Elvis version was slower and different but both were great versions.

I think Ral Donner's and Elvis Presley's versions were both good. It's just such a lovely song, it's a treat the two versions were recorded. I like them both. |
