After having lived the greater part of his life in England he never lost his Bronx (born and raised there and a curiously understated fact) accent. Visited a house he lived in as a child and teenager in the Bronx. Knocking on the door a middle-aged man answers and after begging his pardon for the intrusion I tell him that Stanley Kubrick had once lived here. He says, "Wow, really. Who the fuck is Stanley Kubrick"?

If you watch Dr.Strangelove, I'm pretty sure Peter Sellers is imitating Kubrick's voice with his role as President Muffley.
