Though he did sing and cover this song in the movie, it was a famous mexican singer Javier Solis from way back in the days who wrote this song. By the way, I did not insinuate that this was Marc Anthony's song, but he sure made it his own the way he sang it, Superb! Suave! Con Triste! Lo canta de corazon!

This isnt a Marc Anthony song. This is a cover, im not sure who sang this originally, but it wasnt Marc Anthony.

Marc Antony sang this song in and for the movie as a tribute and dedication to "El Cantante" Hector Lavoe. Correct, Hector Lavoe did not record or perform this song. I stand corrected if I am wrong.
