This is one of the best performances ever played Purple live. Gillan said the scream he sang every night in this song put in danger his voice, but he didn't care. He said maybe helped he wore very tight pants.

yeah, I always thought the Rod Evans era was pretty lame, no offense to those that liked that era, but it always reminded me of a cheap Beatles rip-off for some reason, i think they really reached their potential with Gillan and Glover, although Blackmore, Paice and Lord were always amazing, I though Simper and Evans were lame though. Coverdale and Hughes were great too, but it just wasn't Deep Purple. Hughes remains to be one of my favorite singers though, I love Burn and Stormbringer songs.

cool duet between gillan and blackmore. I think gillan was the best singer deep purple ever had.
