Great Music - Canard Formation Aerobatics, whats interesting about this is the good use of energy retention and how they keep in formation, for prop aircraft its like watch the Red Arrows.

Amazing! My favorite aircraft. People that fly these are my heros.

82 sq.ft. (LEZ)vs. 59 sq.ft. (VEZ) for starters.Empty weight 760 lb. vs. 700 lb. 50 gal. vs. 25 gal. fuel capacity. The "big" engine for the VEZ is 200 cid; the standard for the LEZ is 235 with many flying with 320.Yet top speed and cruise range are fairly close.

This is an exeptionally good display of the superb handling and performance of the Rutan aircrafts.

Not your Cessna for sure. LOL The arobatic capability was limited to the engine and fuel pump setup. G rating was very high on the EZ much more than most pilots are willing to go.

Our EZ cruised speed was around 180-190. The prop and engine were basically the speed limiter. Amazing aircraft it flew with the touch of your thumb on a small stick protruding from the arm rest. 120knots in the pattern was our standard speed - 90 was touchdown speed 4000ft runway was nice to have and needed on a hot day.

Long EZ stock package was actually a hair slower than the stock EZ. Basically the Long EZ was the outcome of people wanting more power and slightly more space. I built and flew an "A" rated EZ with my Grandfather who was an Airforce pilot late WWII.

What exactly is the difference between a Long EZ and a Vari-eze? These aircraft really intrest me, the speed, range and economy numbers impress me, and now I see they can do loops as well. The first time I saw one at OSH I was like WTF? But they really are cool.

Interesting to note that the lead aircraft is a Long-ez and the other two aircraft are Vari-eze's. While not meant for hard-core aerobatics, they are certainly built strong enough and have adequate performance to do these low, positive "G" maneuvers.

Are all Long EZs capable of acrobatics? |
