NO! I'm not approving what the spartans did, and i probably shouldn't of said it is natural. But i will say that the spartans took what nature already does a step further. Humans don't breed with disabled/retarded humans naturally because their instinct knows they will create less than superior children, perhaps they'll breed culturally, but not naturally.

Btw, my neice Nikki was born with abnormalities. I shutter to think of your views toward her. You would have no problem if my sister chose to set her aside after birth and let her die? Let me tell you. She is the joy of our life, and has a whole lot to offer the world. I can't believe that people's hearts are so hard toward the weak and defenseless. Like I said before....unbelievable. God forbid this mentality take over the nation.

The Spartans did it everyday! Weak, disabled, retarded babies were thrown away...it ensure that they would be strong genetically and reporduced smart able-bodied kids, it sounds sick...but it is all natural!

Even thousands of years ago, humans left babies to die after birth because extra mouths in the scarcity of food would ensure the demise of the entire group, tribe, family. It is a natural characteristic of humans to protect their children as it is to abandon them if they were in trouble. The nature mentality is to preserve ones self because you know you could produce more later, but you must survive first. Animals do this all the time, I don't see why we won't do it, TO SOME EXTENT. |
