I think the reason is feels the pain is because in the scene before jesus is going through all the pain and judas is getting all the media attention, which is ironic because the opposite is true today. Christians love jesus and hate judas. These opinions are formed because of jesus crucifixion (jesus died for people's sin so the love him and judas betrayed jesus so they hate him). so judas is feeling the pain of his dying reputation. Jesus' crucifixion is actually killing judas.

Yes, definitely some symbolism there.

I also think it's interesting that Judas is back in the black shirt. No more red PVC, and not his earliest outfit, either (the red shirt with the black leather jacket).

I was always kind of confused when Judas could "feel" the pain Jesus did when he gets nailed to the cross. And then he's suddenly back in his black t-shirt.

Sovietguy, I'm a metal fan too, and this musical is the GREATEST!! The music is so powerful, I think that is why we like it!

I'm a metal fan but this musical is absolutly fantastic, i highly recommend this to anyone who finds difficulty in understanding Jesus. This scene makes me weep, he did not deserve such a pianfull death
