with all the accesories like powersteering pump altenator etc a ls1 is 201kg and a 1uz with the same parts bolted on is 223. the 1uzfe is heavier because of the OHC

They are the same cars. The only difference between the two is the Name and the front grill is black on Starions

Did the car have a speed limiter thing happen at 4:40 and 5:55?

That Lexus V8 sounds absolutely badass! I saw a Conquest TSi for (I think) the first time today. Not a bad looking car at all. And with the sound (and potential) of that V8 under the hood, I'm truly impressed.

ls1 weighs 15kg more than a 1uz which is bugger all in the sceam of things and you get another 1.7 l

You're retarded... Look up how much an LS1 weighs I'll bet you it's less than a 1UZ or the original motor out of this car. And there's nothing wrong with pushrods, it's a lighter more compact setup than OHC's. Plus they rev just fine with roller rockers and lifters 8000 rpm is no problem at all. I do over 6500 on my stock 4.6L chevy all the time... That's the "redline" on a 1UZ and most Jap V6's and V8's.

wtf? why didn't they use a jap model starion instead? y they gotta take our damn conquests! lol

The 1uz is one of the most overbuilt V8s ever made. Six bolt mains mean you can leave the bottom end untouched as you run upwards of 1,000hp. No LS1 engine will ever rev like this either. |
