Actually, Frollo's thirty-six and La Esmerelda is sixteen. He got gray hair through... the fuck if I know! >:( Genetics?!

Eww, Frollo, you're old and gross! Esmeralda's young and pretty, and not to mention she hates you! Do the math!!!Yeah, but it's a great song xP

in the book he does, its really interesting that they would tone down the love for the disney version. when i first saw it, i would have known that was love, but as it is, i had no idea what this was about, so if thats what they were going for, i'd say they did a good job. cheers :)

nah, he just wants her. :)
ladyrilwen (October 6, 2008 at 6:36 am)
Hardly. There is a large difference between love and lust. So not the same thing.

In the book, Frollo fell in love with La Esmerelda so I guess he is in love with her in this version. And as for the whole burning at the stake thing, (spoiler) well in the book Frollo stated that she was driving him mad and told her to flee with him but La Esmerelda refused all of his offers and Frollo said something along these lines: "If I can't have you, than no one will!" And thus she was hung and died and Frollo dropped to his death from Notre Dame....Phoebus was an ass.

haha now wouldnt this be great on an old disney sing along tape! XDman, i wish disney would go back to traditional animation and start making movies worth the money again. not to say that all theyr new ones suck, some are pretty good, but they just dont seem to have the same soul or motivation anymore.

This... is one of the very few Disney movies I never got to watch as a kid. So when I finally got a copy in my hands, I understood everything. I had no surprising revelation like you guys :(Oh well at least for Ursula I discovered that her song ROCKS SOCKS (i didn't really appreciate disney songs when I was younger)
