Reining is not in the Olympics; only dressage, show jumping, and eventing are, hun. Reining is trying to become an Olympic sport, but it isn't yet. It just doesn't quite have the international recognition the old-as-time sports do.Though it is in the WEG, if that's what you mean.

People who have never taken their nose out of their "heartland" books wouldn't realize these horses are athletes and behave like them(reining is an OLYMPIC sport anyway:) Humans have bred in the traits that help them in their sport. As babies in the pasture they'll slide while they play. Sure I've known horses bred for pleasure that became a reiner or a cowhorse that went to eventing but that's mainly the horse, not the owner forcing them. Also spurs have come a long way since the wild west.
