gee its great to see these great old shows again, we have good comedy shows in australia, but the honeymooners are great,they never replay this show in australia thanks to a wisefool from tony

Wonder why they call it the honeymooners ? Because they make reference in some of the episodes that they have been married 15 years.

Ralph was all talk, he wasn't actually violent. He was the quintessential dreamer, the man that loved his wife, but simply couldn't make the dream happen. My father used to use that sarcasm on my mother when I was growing up in the sixties, but it never got beyond a threat. Truth is, Mom was just as tough as Dad was! She could give it back as quick as he dished it out.

He was ALWAYS steamed. That was the premise of the show: he's this fat guy who is always red in the face and about to blow his top over something. Then he gets into some kind of mess and his wife forgives him for being a jerk and at the end they are all lovey-dovey 'honeymooners' again. Her sassiness was a new thing on TV in those days.
