The camera works kinda badly, bechause they allmost drive faster than the pictures! Ehh.. huh? Ehh.. they drive faster than the sound of speed?

They can afford the camera - the problem is that there weren't any 'good' cameras built to handle the kind of vibration that this thing was going through.If you did this today, you'd stick a digi-camcorder in there, but they didn't really exist a decade ago. They were using tape based hardened cameras and transmitting, but there are limits to what you can do when moving parts are involved. Even mil-spec stuff would have struggled with this.
