what's funny is that a similar thing happened in soviet russia. there was a public showing of "The Grapes of Wrath" to show how horrible life was in america but most people who saw it were impressed that they were able to have a car to themselves! lol! propaganda does tend to mess up!

How would you know Communism doesn't work? Communism in its literal definition has never been truly tested. The "communist" governments you see in the world today are really a variety of things - fascist, totalitarian dictatorships, etc. - but none of which can be called "communist." Men come into power in these countries by preaching communist ideals which they never follow through with. But there has never been a true communist government, so you can't say with certainty that it will not work.
