See http://amasci.com/maglev/magro... EM repulsion lifts a neodymium magnet above two spinning copper pipes. Also see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... I bought my supermagnets from Mr. George "magnetman," also from wondermagnet.com. The pipes are thick-wall schedule-80 copper pipes from the scrap bin at Alaskan Copper and Brass. The motor is a replacement sewing machine motor from Grainger catalog. Speed control is a 1000-watt triac lamp dimmer.

i highly doubt it would suck your arm init would prob. just skin your finger or rip it off if you were to just like slam your finger in there

for something that could tear off your entire arm you aren't being the most cautious with your fingers lol

Rather than "eating your arm up to your shoulder", it would likely pop a few screws out of its base and come apart. Unless those are some super-strong bolts and an incredibly sturdy piece of wood!

> But I fail to see how this could be applicable. You'd have to click on the link. Then you'd find that this is the video part of a science fair projects site.
