thats alright if rory had been given the credit he'd richly deserved on a wide enough scale,but to be honest,he didnt,ask anyone to name a guitarist,9 outta 10 will name hendrix the circus clown,so really as a rory fan its more like championing his cause than just merely drawing a comparison,although,yes in any area of music guitarists,whatever which line up was best etc etc we do tend to compare.

hi there,just reading your comment on Rory, yes a true great at his trade, but im not picking on you or anything like that but why do you English have to put everything into contest,ok someone is good at this trick and someone is good at that trick,whatever,if you look at most of Rorys vids on youtube you will see people talking about him and who he was better than, music is not a contest its an art, an expression.i love all the so called guitar greats i think they all give colour to music.

thanks pal, you just cant put someone of rorys magnitude within the constraints of a band,especially one as rigid and limited as the stones.ronnie wood was the man for the job and keith,both suited to the job,not someone like rory,rory has to much spirit and ability.

he was just too huge a guitarist to have been in the stones, too competent and technically gifted. he was a better guitarist than keith and a better singer than jagger.

iggy is not a musician hes just a dick, I dont even get why you mention him in the same sentence as the late great rory gallagher. although I do take your point
