Anything can be considered art. Besides, we are always surrounded by music, maybe you are not listening hard enough or you do not have any imagination, but this is art. Music does not have to be intentional sound.

Let's get one thing straight... art requires skill, work, and knowledge. Cage failed as a student, couldn't play an instrument, and as Schoenberg said had "no ear for Harmony". He possesed none of these. The original idea was interesting, but it does NOT deserve to be placed on a pedastal. I would like to know on what basis you are claiming that this is art.
