I don't have to love this to be a "real fan". There are a handful of songs on the first two albums which I like, but I'm just sick of the whole, "GOD SILVERCHAIR IS GAY NOW. GRUNGE 4 LYFE!!!" bullshit.

I HAVE WHEN PEOPLE SAY THAT silverchair is similar to nirvana, cause that isnt true. Silverchair from frogstomp is pure heavy metal slowy riffs like black sabbath, (in fact Leave Me Out is very similar to Sweet Leaf from Sabbath) Nirvana was a punk band,and you can find more similar things comparing them to Pixies, Sonic Youth, and MC5. Nirvana was not like that. Other fact: Silverchair sounded similar at this time to: HELMET - BLACK SABBATH - SOUNDGARDEN
