I got a saab 900 turbo convertibale that runs like a dream. Ive won too many races including beating a lexus the other day. Something is wrong with the turbo but with it fixed it will run even better.

our saab 900 2.1 16v 140hp with an automatic gearbox year 92 and only driven 84000km! And it's not rusted at all!

You cn't do this on all cras. If the allignment of the box it not really good it will still grind. I can do this in my low mileage convertible but in my 300,000 combi I had it was impossible without selecting a forward gear.

I also find that double declutching on both down and upshifts helps when the car is cold and rev-matching downshifts will increase longevity. Keep rockin' the Saabs boys!

The transmission are quite notchy when they get older. I find that the best way to select reverse when the car has idled in neutral with the clutch engaged is to depress the clutch, select a forward gear (usually first) then select reverse. If reverse is stubborn even after doing this, slightly engage the clutch as you select reverse. Works seemlessly 99% of the time. |
