No software comes with it, you have to download the special usb driver from the roland website

zoom have some killer effects and there rack units etc are brilliant but Boss have the edge with there DSP and COSMO engine which takes a whole step above just effects processor i also think boss make these processors especially the GT8 like German tiger tanks lol only breakable from the ass end lol i think there sound is very much there own even though you can make them sound like any existing amp or rotary speaker etc.

Just wondering, not sure if this is a dumb question or not, but i keep hearing about the GT-10 being able to stream midi through the usb and was wondering if anyone knows if this means it can be used as a controller for midi input? any help would be appreciated.

dude.. it depends.... zoom effects are more for Metal Guitarrist,,, and boss is for metlas too... but also have gret "calm" effects-- i have the gt8 and the zoom g9.2tt-- i am selling my gt8 on ebay... and then ill buy a gt10 with a little more money... then ill be posting a video about the diference.. another good pedalboard is the line 6 xt pod live... i highly recomend that one...normally multi effects are bad.. i have stopnboxes to generate the drive sound... ds-1, sd-1- mt-2, big muff pi.
