I don't normally like BMW's, but this is an amazing design concept that challenges the traditional mindset of automobile design. Very cool piece of engineering and thinking outside the box!

the fabric wont protect you but heres a news flash for ya ....Neither will sheet aluminum or fiberglass. Its the frame that absorbs impact not the out skin(which is no more than 15 times thicker than paint)

The car looks sexy, no questions about it.But since it's a sports car, how is the fabric going to hold up to high speeds? By the looks of it, the fabric will be pushed back and start flapping from wind resistance, taking away the whole appeal of being a sports car.

The framework inside the car has more to do with crash safety than the exterior sheet metal. This stuff might actually be safer in a crash.But can't someone just slash it with a knife? |
